AICI requires candidates to present a portfolio of their work and achievements detailing their knowledge of image and their educational skills in their area of expertise to a reviewing committee. Other areas that are included for review are: Business Development, Consulting and Coaching, Program Development, Product Authorship or Production, Media Exposure, Public Speaking, AICI Leadership and Philanthropy. There are many image consultants, but less than 150 world wide who have received this status.
